Hey Lobster, I want to buy a fretless bass and thankfully I found your channel. The Sire basses look and sound awesome. Would you recommend the V7 or the P7? Usually I play a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Fender Jazz Bass.

How is the stock pickup wired, series or parallel? If Series, is there a way to wire it in parallel, add 500k pots, so as to make it less "spicy". I have one of those orange Metallic Orange ones I got as a knock around beater bass however, the pickup is just too hot and a bit muddy. I don't want to invest much in it. I also thought about one of those ALLPARTS ALNICO V PU-6422-000 pickups. as a replacement. Sometimes Ceramic Magnets are just too hot.

Seems like every demo you do the stingrays are really bright and sparkly. I have one with EMG electronics and with everything flat it sounds nothing like your basses. Do you have EQ High boost going into your computer?
